In our previous post of this series “Siebel Workflow – Five Ws”, we discussed about the basics of the Siebel Workflow. In this post, we are going to learn about the Siebel Workflow’s properties.

Let’s start with the Siebel Workflow’s Mode – There are four kind of mode given in the Siebel workflows, which are as below.

Ø  7.0 Flow: For Upgradation
Ø  Long Running Flow: if we use wait step in the design process
Ø  Interactive Flow: if we use ‘User Interact’ step in the workflow. It takes the user from one view to another view using workflows
Ø  Service Flow: General workflows (Default Mode)

Siebel Workflow’s Status – There are three kind of status given in the Siebel workflows, which are as below.

Ø  In Progress: When you create a new Workflow or Revise any previously created Workflow then this would be the default state. In this state you can edit and make changes in the workflow.
Ø  Completed: After editing the Workflow when we “Publish” or “Publish/Activate” then Workflow goes into this status.
Ø  Not in Use: When we “Revise” any workflow or we “Expire” any workflow then status of that workflow would be “Not in Use”.

Siebel Workflow’s State Management Type – The State Management Type property specifies the type of business service request that Siebel CRM sends while this workflow process runs. There are two kind of State Management Type given in the Siebel workflows, which are as below.

Ø  Stateful: The Object Manager does not release a stateful or cached business service that the workflow process calls if the user pauses or finishes an instance of this workflow process.
Ø  Stateless: The Object Manager releases a stateful or cached business service that a workflow process calls if the user pauses or finishes an instance of this workflow process.
