Siebel Workflow – Five Ws

This is the first post of this series. In this series of post will discuss about the Siebel Workflow, an essential part of Siebel. Before moving further, I think first of all we should understand the five Ws of Siebel Workflow.

What is Siebel Workflow? – A Siebel Workflow is a series of graphically sequences of automation steps to accomplish a business task, and it specifies inputs and outputs for individual steps and for the workflow process as a whole.

Why do we need Siebel Workflow? – To share the business users load and make the business process fast.

When do we need Siebel Workflow? – In simple words, when you wants to automate the business process.

Where do we develop Siebel Workflow? – In Siebel Tools under “Workflow Process”

Who is responsible for development? – Siebel workflow developer is responsible for the development.

Let’s know some basic traits of Siebel Workflow.

   Ø  Workflows are based on Business Object.
   Ø  Workflows are not related to srf changes.
   Ø  N no of persons can work on same workflow but workflow version should be different.
