<< Previous Post of this Series                                                                                      Next Post of this Series >>

In our previous post of this series “Siebel Workflow – Process Properties”, we discussed about the Process Properties of Siebel Workflow. In this post, we are going to learn about the Siebel Workflow’s Process Steps.

If you are going to create your first workflow then it is advisable that you should get familiar with the workflow process steps first. Siebel provides different kind of process steps to communicate with the application. I am going to mention each and every process steps below.

Ø  Start Step: This step is the first step you need to add in your workflow if you are going to create workflow. You simply need to add Start Step as is. An illustration of Start Step is as below.

Ø  Business Service Step: When you want to run any business service in your workflow then this box comes into picture. You can call those business services in this step which are defined in Siebel Tools or the Siebel client.

Note: If you are calling any business service in this step then you must keep this in your mind that called business service must not be browser script; it must be server script only. If you call a business service which includes a browser script, then the business service might fail.

You need to provide below Business Service Step Properties, if you want to call any business service in your workflow.

ü  Business Service Name: Name of the Business Service
ü  Business Service Method: Name of the Method

In next post “Siebel Workflow – Process Steps – Part II” of this series will discuss about the rest of Siebel Workflow’s Process Steps.

Your comments and suggestions are always welcome… Happy Siebeling… J
